Lauren and Tyler - The Falconwood at Beaver Island Wedding Photography

Congratulations to Lauren and Tyler on their summer wedding at The Falconwood at Beaver Island State Park! I’ve known Lauren’s family since high school, so this was an extra special one for me to be a part of.

The day started off with both the bridesmaids and groomsmen getting ready at the Holiday Inn Express on Grand Island, just a short distance from the park. It’s also a great place to stay if you’re ever visiting Niagara Falls. I captured a first look with the bride’s dad outside the hotel, while my second photographer, Eric, took captured the groomsmen hanging out (and maybe taking some shots!) at the hotel’s rooftop bar, Burrata Rooftop Bistro.

The rest of the day all took place at The Falconwood at Beaver Island. There were plenty of smiles, laughs (and of course some tears) throughout the night, from the ceremony overlooking Beaver Island Beach in the background, to the wedding party photos on the Beaver Island boardwalk, speeches at the reception, and plenty of dancing throughout the night.

Of course, we went out to the boardwalk at sunset for some candid wedding moments while everyone else continued to party in the background.

The DJ, Eric Volk, sure kept everyone dancing all night long. Because I knew the bride’s family personally, I stayed a bit longer than normal for this one and shared a drink with them after putting the camera away for the night.
